Welcome to Blantyre, Malawi’s bustling commercial center. Upon arrival, you’ll be escorted to your accommodations. Join your expedition leaders for a comprehensive briefing during the “Meet Your Crew Session,” setting the stage for the journey ahead. Following a welcome dinner, explore Blantyre by night with your fellow adventurers during the “Crew Bonding Night Out.”
Embark on a captivating exploration of Malawi’s rural culture with a scenic journey to Mulanje. Immerse yourself in the local way of life through a village walk amidst lush tea estates, fostering meaningful interactions with community members. Conclude the day with a vibrant cultural evening, featuring local dance performances and delectable cuisine, fostering lasting connections.
Ascend Mount Mulanje, Malawi’s highest mountain, for a transformative hiking experience. Gain insight into the mountain’s significance to local communities while marveling at panoramic vistas. Refresh at Likhubula Falls topped with a lip smacking lunch, before engaging in educational sessions with local businesses and community leaders, offering valuable insights into Malawi’s socio-economic landscape.

Today, you will journey to Kasungu, where you will be stationed for the ensuing four days. In collaboration with Malawi’s Ministry of Tourism, Novoto has initiated a rural development endeavor centered on regenerative travel. During this period, you will actively contribute to diverse areas such as women and youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, job creation, conservation, healthcare, and education, fostering enduring societal benefits. Concurrently, you will engage in professional development activities encompassing team building exercises, leadership workshops, communication enhancement sessions, critical thinking exercises, and project management training. This immersive four-day experience is designed to impart lasting skills while effecting positive change through regenerative tourism—an inclusive approach that mutually benefits both participants and the local community. Moreover, this endeavor will culminate in authentic cultural immersion as you reside in a village homestay, forging meaningful connections with your host family.
Reflect on your journey as you travel to Senga Bay for relaxation. Embark on a scenic boat excursion to a nearby uninhabited island for sunset, savoring the pristine beauty of Lake Malawi with the last swim on this expedition. Conclude the day with a beachfront dinner featuring local delicacies, a fitting celebration of your expedition’s achievements.
Explore Lilongwe, Malawi’s vibrant capital, through an immersive city walk, delving yourself deep in its dynamic culture and bustling markets. This expedition is strictly meant for university students who want to travel during their term break. To join the tour, you need to be matriculated as a student at a university.
International flights booked for arrival/ departure have not been included in our travel fee. It must be purchased separately. However, in case of any inquiries, you can contact us. Your arrival airport is Chileka International Airport in Blantyre while your departure airport is Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.
You will be required to obtain either an Malawi E-Visa (you can check your eligibility here – https://www.visahq.co.uk/) either online or on arrival.
You will be traveling with fellow university students from various universities from different countries.
August beckons adventurers to Malawi, boasting ideal weather conditions for exploration. Within our selected destinations, anticipate average temperatures ranging from 12.0°C to 25.0°C. While occasional extremes may dip to 5°C or soar to 30°C, past observations reveal a delightful climate for your expedition.

As much as we would LOVE you to join us, it will be difficult for us to accommodate you in an already on-going trip. Good news? You are more than welcome to extend your stay, but the expenses for the same have to be taken by you.
Unfortunately, no. We leave that to your discretion to book travel insurance of your choice.
This expedition is designed to be budget-friendly. You need to budget for 10 lunches and 12 dinners not in the inclusions. Meals typically range from £5 to £15 each. All planned activities are covered, but if you opt for extras, budget around £150. Souvenir shopping is at your discretion. In total, plan to carry £600 for personal expenses. Rest assured, there are accessible ATMs in India for emergencies.
